It does what it claims!
These days I’m trying to move more and more away from anything plastic – BPA free or not – because studies are showing plastics leech more than just harmful BPA into our foods and drinks. Switching to glass everything was an easy move, and while I love my pint-and-a-half jars with lids and straws, they’re not durable for taking out and about to events like my brother’s lacrosse games.
This stainless steel tumbler is a great solution – only the lid is plastic, and since I use straws that isn’t a problem. It’s incredibly durable, I would bet I could run over it with my car and it would come out with just a few scratches. It really does keep things extremely cold and doesn’t sweat – which I absolutely love!
I don’t care for the HUGE branding down the side of it though – especially since it’s good for more than just water, and more than just cold drinks. I’ll probably try to remove the branding with acetone after testing it on the bottom of the tumbler. It’s also hand-wash only, so if you’re someone who doesn’t have time to hand wash dishes – you might want to look elsewhere. Those negatives aside, I still love it enough to give it five stars – but I’ll keep looking for another brand’s tumbler that doesn’t have those traits.
