Product FAQ: Answers from COLDEST
How does it work?
It attaches to the end of the straw inside a flip-top straw lid and filters water as you sip. To install: cut the straw to length, push the straw into the filter, connect the straw to the lid, and lower the filter into the bottle.
Advanced or Basic: what's the difference?
Basic (blue cap) is for fresher-tasting tap water and lasts up to 25 gallons. Advanced (black cap) is the higher tier and lasts up to 40 gallons. The comparison chart in the photos shows what each one removes.
How long does a filter last?
Up to 25 gallons for Basic and up to 40 gallons for Advanced. Replace it when you reach that, or sooner if the flow slows.
Will it fit my bottle?
It needs a flip-top straw lid with a COLDEST reusable straw. The filter is 2.5in tall and 1.5in wide, so it fits standard and wide-mouth bottles.
What water is it for?
It's designed for municipal (city tap) water, for filtered water around town. It's not a substitute for treating untreated outdoor water.

Is it harder to drink through?
A little: you'll pull against the filter, so sipping takes more suction than a bare straw.
How do I care for it?
It's maintenance-free: rinse it off and let it dry until the next use.
Can I return it?
Filters are final sale, so they can't be returned or exchanged. If one arrives damaged or defective, contact our team. Details: Warranty & Returns.
Does the Coldest Water Filter fit the half gallon jug?
Yes. Coldest has confirmed that this filter can fit the half gallon jug. For any other bottle, contact support@coldest.com to check fit before you order.
What options does the Coldest Water Filter come in?
The page lists two Fit options, Advanced and Basic, and 1, 3, 6 and 12 Packs. Availability varies by option, so check the selectors on this page.
Why use a filter with my Coldest bottle?
Coldest says attaching the filter to your reusable straw brings on the coldest, cleanest, most refreshing water to power your day, and helps you ditch plastic water bottles.
Do I get free shipping on filters?
Orders of $125 or more ship free within the contiguous US, based on the subtotal after discounts and before tax, and no code is needed. Free shipping does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii or international orders.
Is there a discount for military, first responders or teachers?
Yes. Active military and veterans, first responders (law enforcement, paramedics, EMTs, nurses and firefighters) and teachers or educators (K-12 and university) get 15% off their entire order after verifying through GovX.
