When I went to suck water I wasn't getting anything

I purchased this cap for my 24 oz. Hydroflask water bottle. When I received it I put the cap on my water bottle and it fit perfectly. When I went to suck water I wasn’t getting anything. It also leaked whenever I tipped it upside down. However, I emailed the company directly and explained my problem and they responded within 24 hours and said they would send me a new one for no additional cost. I got the new one and it fit and worked perfectly. 100% satisfied.
